Speedo Accuracy

In scrolling thru page upon page of pics, something hit me this morning. Are all you guys just upgrading the tires and living with the inherent speedo inaccuracy? Or am I missing something here?

the bigger tires only put my over the speedo slightly, i'm sure i was under before the tires. right now with the speedo saying 60 i'm going about 61-62, as per the handheld gps

I just calibrated my SGII for the proper speed. With 265/75/16's my speedo is off 2 - 3 mph depending on the speed I am traveling.

I have a Scangauge on the dash against the driver's side pillar and that's calibrated to make up for the 7% change from my tires. I watch that for speed, and round up my mileage for travel reimbursement. About an extra 7 miles for every 100, or just add on 3-5 here and there before I submit it to my boss.
