Performance Products.com RANT

Arrghhh this post will probably be moved by the Mods, but since Performance Products sell Toyota Truck Parts I thought I post here and warn you guys about them.

I dont usually rant like this but I am just appalled at the BS customer service they have over there.

I ordered the IN-CHANNEL Slimline WindowVisors but they send me two passenger side visors.

So I returned the item back to them on November 8, 2006. 2 weeks later, I called them and emailed them asking where my replacement was? They said they will send it out that day. 1 week later I called back again, same response. I emailed them several times, no replys. So last week I filed a CC charge back and finally their sales manager contacted me today telling me since I did a charge back I need to re order the parts and they have to recharge me shipping and handling.

Plus I looked them up and saw several complaints on www.labbb.org

Needless to say I will never order from them ever again.

I too had a bad experience with performanceproducts.com.

I ordered the SAW 2.0 racerunner kit - coilovers, rear shocks, and 1" block. They advertised the shocks as precharged with Nitrogen, but they arrived empty. Of course, I didn't know this until after they were installed. The front coilovers could be charged while on the truck, but the rear shocks had to be removed (location of the valve).

I ended up having a motorcycle shop fill them for me and they charged $75! Obviously way to much, but I had no choice. We have 2 4wheel parts stores in the metro Atlanta area and neither of them can charge shocks with Nitrogen.

When I called performance products to let them know what happened and to get some money back, the guy gave me a hard time asking "Who authorized you to get the shocks filled for $75?" I said no one did. I had no choice in the matter as the only place I could find to fill them charged me $75. They didn't seem to care that I had to remove the rear shocks, waste my time and gas money to go have these things filled when as a retailer, they advertised them as precharged, but did not deliver them that way.

In the end, they REFUSED to give me any credit.

I won't buy anything from them again.

sorry to hear about your problem there man, i have ordered stuff from many times and and never had a problem though.

edit: sorry i order from performanceproducts4trucks.com not performanceproducts.com, probably the same but that is where i order online.

performanceproducts4trucks is part of performanceproducts in Van Nuys, Ca.......I've ordered from them on several occasions and had great customer service.....product always arrived in a timely manner.......sorry to hear about your crappy experience.....
