Where does everyone take the height measurements on their trucks before and after a lift. For some reason I'm thinking that I was once told to take the measurement from the center of the hub straight up to the fender. For some reason that doesn't seem right that to me. I just want to be on the same page when I put my new lift on.
you can measure from the center of the hub to the fender, but that won't be accurate if you go with bigger tires at the same time as the lift. i just measured from the ground to the fender, straight thru the center of the hub
I'm from eastern Kentucky...grew up there in Prestonsburg. My relatives live in somerset right now.... goin up for christmas and lookin forward to the cold winter air.

Other way around. The only way to be accurate is to measure from the center of the hub to the fender. If you measure from the ground then you are adding in the height gained from the tire. When you meausre from the center hub you take the tire out of the equation.
I thinkTucsonTRD was talking about overall lift, including the tires.. AN is correct if you want to know the lift from JUST the lift itself...
yeah, thats what i was referring to, i didn't ellaborate enough though so i see why AN mentioned that. so i guess it depends on what measurement you actually want.

TucsonTRD,
Can you post those measurements? From the ground to the center of the fender after installing your lift. Did you check to see how much of a change there was after it settled completely?
