Norcal, I posted in your last thread about your HID kit and the shield being on the bottom...it's SUPPOSED to be on the bottom! If it was on the top it would block the light that gets reflected down onto the ground in front of you. The bottom part of your headlight reflector will reflect and shine light upward, hence why the shield is on the bottom of the bulb.

what he said! shine a flashlight towards the bottom of a large bowl and the light will be reflected upwards. Shields go on bottom.
If I'm on the same track as you, I think that streak of glare at the top if unavoidable. Even w/ our stock halogen bulbs, you can see that streak if you're up against a wall. The HID just intensifies it. Although our cutoffs are pretty good for a reflector, it's nowhere near perfect. A retro would be in order if you want a nice sharp cutoff
My beam is nicely cut at the bottom but the glare is incredible on the top.
Did you adjust your headlights?
Can you post a pic facing a wall?
Here's a couple pics of my HIDs:
I didn't adjust anything on my headlights, just put the bulb in with the shield on the bottom. I think the cutoff is pretty damn good for the stock housing. You can see a little glare on top, but there is a definite cutoff line, really noticeable in the second picture.
Don't angle it. Put it in with the shield on the bottom, that will give you the correct beam. If you angle it so the shield is not on the bottom, you will have even more glare and a screwed up beam pattern.
