Wow. That's pretty good timing for everything to show up on the same day. I would love to have all those parts. How would you like to give to a VERY worthy charity? It's called the I Want My Truck to be Cool Too fund. Lucky dog.

The safety clip is so it doesn't accidently get opened by some brush or branches that you might run over.
Here's where I got it from:

It seems like it would be more prone to getting knocked off since it hangs lower? Toku... you have any other info on this? The link didnt really have a description. Thanks in advance.

It only hangs about 1/4" lower than the drain plug. You have a better chance of cracking your oil pan than ripping this valve off, IMO.

I wouldn't recommend it if you're an extreme rock crawler but 95% of us aren't.

Search Fumoto. You should find the answers you seek.

I do not plan on rock crawling... but the GWNF has plenty of them... Thanks for the info...

I have had one on for a while now and it's covered with the plate so it would take quite a bit to get through that to knock the valved off. My guess would be that if it gets ripped off you have a whole lot more then just that to deal with. Doesn't everyone have a plate over or is that just off-road package?
