So, in the last two weeks, I've started to buy some stuff to finish the look on my truck. I've purchased the upper and lower GrillCraft mesh grills (haven't arrived yet), and just this morning I've purchased a NOS FJ40 front grill emblem. I initially had a bid on a "TRD" grill emblem, but the auction was removed today. Probably because I was the only one who bid on it, up until last night, where the price was driven up from the original price, to my max bid by one person. Anyways, here's the pic for what I just won off eBay. I think it'll look great once it's on.

^^ Yup. Gonna paint it red, to match the truck, and then clear it, so that it stays red. All in all, I'm pretty excited. I've been looking at the Taco's around town, since I drive for the post office here, and it looks like I'll be the only Taco with the GrillCraft grill. And having that emblem on the front will make it just that much more unique.
that looks cool. i've been trying to find an FJ toyota emblem for the grille to put on my truck when i order the grillecraft in a couple of weeks. how much did the lower portion of the grillecraft cost you? if you don't mind me asking.
Does the Grillcraft upper include the two little side grills? It doesn't really say on their site. Also, it appears that the toyota truck is the only one that requires cutting. What kind of cutting does it include since I know it's very easy to remove the grill.

Bottom grill was $109. I ordered from US Speed parts. I waited for about 5 weeks, cause it was on back order. But it's on it's way now. Should have it by the end of the week.

No, the upper side grills aren't even needed. They are solid, and they match the mesh anyways. Makes it easier. It doesn't REQUIRE cutting, but it is recommended. All you need to cut out are the two big cross bars in the grill. If you've got a dremel, it shouldn't take more than 5 min.

Barry, all you have to do is cut out the stock grill where it meets the frame. Like Zman said, if you have a dremel, it will only take a few minutes. I anally sanded down the cut edges and made it look all pretty, but this was overkill because the only way you'd ever see this is if you took the whole grill piece off the truck and looked at it from behind. The only tricky part about the installation is screwing the insert into place (the angle of the grill insert and the frame makes it a little awkward). Even being ridiculously anal, the whole project only took me two hours and I'm not the handiest of dudes.
The two little triangle side grill pieces match the GrillCraft insert perfectly. No need to worry about them.

Sounds good, I'll have to order this soon. Where are you guys ordering them from? Anyone have any deals on them? My truck is really starting to come together, I ordered the lift yesterday, the URD intake should be ordered next week (not holding my breath), and my rims and tires are my christmas gift to myself!

So, this is the original emblem that I got off eBay. It arrived perfect btw....
And this is what I did to it.
I still have to touch up a couple of the corners, then clear coat it for durability, but it should look pretty good when I'm done. I'll get some pics up when I get this on the grill.
