Speaker Mounts Request.

Could someone either trace or scan their speaker mounts. Even if its one from tacotunes. Wouldn't mind making my own and making the template available to everyone.

All you need to do is to pull off your door panels, remove the factory speakers and use those as templates. I made mine in about 30 minutes for the rears and about another hour for the fronts. All from 3/4 inch MDF. It's pretty easy.

Well would be nice to have it in a scan so that we don't have to make our own template. Especially in the cold

I plan on making some soon. Is 3/4" what works best? I was thinking of going 1/2". 6x9's in the front and 6.5's in the rear.

I put JL Audio 6.5's in mine. The JL's protrude about 1/4 inch past the mounting rim so I had to route a recess around the hole once I cut out the template that I made with the 3/4 inch MDF. I did this to protect the speaker. If your speaker is flush with the mounting rim or recessed, 3/4 is perfect for the front and rears. Actually, the front has a lot more space between the door skin and panel so no problem there.
