Swaybar Questions

Has anyone come out with a quick disconnect? I see that Demellos was talking about doing it, but I haven't seen it or heard anymore.

Also, is this something people have been doing on their own (like its an easy thing to do and since there isnt a kit available, why not?) I know they do it for the older Taco's but I haven't really seen anything about it being an option for the 05+

Next, I hear what I am pretty sure is my sway bar hitting my coil spring (884 or 885 I forget) when I am at a hard turn and the suspensions moves.
I read somewhere someone had a swaybar relocation kit to remove it but I lost that thread and can't find it again. Is this mythical kit out there somewhere? I have also read about them in regards to part of the install for the Dhoes, and I see that Camburg sells a swaybar with their CO's, I wouldnt want a new (bright red) swaybar, could i get just part of the Dhoes kit?

I would like to eliminate that metal to metal contact

^ DR (Donahoe Racing) makes that kit.

I'll sell you mine if you want it. It is not being used.

The way the s/b is designed/made, all you have to do to disco it is to remove the bolts where the s/b connects to the linkages. Then, rortate the bar up and out of the way, zip tie it, zip tie the linkages and head up. I really don't see how a premanufactured disco will be anything more than that. I mean, you might not hav to loosen bolts with an aftermarket disco, but why the hell pay for it?

Super simple.

When you remove the sway bar, I would guess this allows a little more down travel? Otherwise, unless you had heavy coils, I would think the body roll would be pretty intense the way I drive...

disconnecting the sway allows for far better articulation off road. but yes, your truck will have more roll to it with them disconnected. i think that unbolting them and ziptieing them is easy and effective. that is my plans for anymore challenging trail rides

Does anyone have pictures of this procedure and where to ziptie it at? I haven't even looked yet, I'm sure it's pretty self-explanatory, but pictures are always nice!

I guess I could do that on a trail, not around Gainesville though with my driving habits...
