Experience with Extang Trifecta Tonneau - or other Tonneau you like better?

I'm considering a tonneau cover for a new PreRunner Double Cab Long Bed and like the looks of the Extang Trifecta. Weekdays I use the truck for freeway driving and like the idea of the tonneau cover. On weekends I cart around a couple mountain bikes and want to be able to easily use the bike mount system with the bed rails.

Does anyone have experience with this model? Do you like it? Is the trifold feature really useful, or do you usually have it all the way closed or removed? Does it prevent use of the bed rail system on the Tacoma?

Cheers

if your going to mount mountain bikes, i suggest another tonneau, a soft roll up one would be better like an access LE. I have the trifecta and even though i don't even carry my mountain bikes that much but when ever i do i have to remove it. BUT that is on a short bed. I'm willing to bet if you drop the tail gate and found a way to mount the bike it would fit on your longbed.

check out my car domain for more info, use the search option to find the thread i posted, it's got plenty of good pics to give you an idea of what your getting.

on a side note, i'm still very happy with my trifecta, especially now in winter so i don't get $2000 worth of music equipment wet everytime i haul it to church.

I have it as well. The trifecta folds so it may work. Here are a couple of shots of it on mine:

Extang Trifecta with Bikes in Bed

I have the Extang Trifecta with an Access cab. I can keep the cover on and folded and mount my road bikes on a Delta fork mount bike rack (its sort of like a tension bar for a shower curtain) and still close the tailgate. It takes some time to figure out where to mount the rack in order to get the clearance for the tailgate at the rear wheel but the whole system works out. It really depends on the wheel base of the bicycles too. Whole system comes out easily too for when you need the room.
