Someone tell me I'm doing the right thing

I'm about to buy a 2007 Taco 4x4 Off-road Double Cab from CarsDirect. Side-air, tow, JBL, Elec. Stability Control with DAC.

Someone tell me I'm doing the right thing, please. *nervous*

Right in the middle between Invoice and MSRP. I guess I have to give up some money because at least I'm getting *exactly* what I want and not having to settle for less...ie. 4x2 when I wanted a 4x4, give up the double cab because they only have extended/standard cab, etc.

You'd be suprised how hard it is to find a 4x4 in Vegas.

Is it silver? You might be my truck twin.....

If you like the price, go for it. You won't regret it.

If I were new to Toyota and I read this forum, I'd be very cautious purchasing this generation Tacoma with all the problems people are posting....BUT (i like big butts and I cannot lie)....my little '05 regular cab 4x2 has been a tank so far aside from it's ridiculously high cold idle that surges and sounds like the truck is falling apart, creaking clutch, and cheap paint (THIS is a Toyota?!?!?)

Otherwise I'd say, GO FOR IT!

Sweet. Thanks everyone! I'm new to Toyota; been driving a '95 Nissan Hardbody for the last 11 years and really wanted to make the right purchase. Everyone's response to my thread has definitely lifted my spirits.

I will eventually be throwing a lift kit, bigger tires, CAI and other accutrements on it. But first I gotta get into the swing of having a car payment again. Been nice not having one for 5 years!

BTW; Welcome to the board! You're buying the best mid-size truck out there. This generation is my fourth Toyota truck in 30 years of driving. Despite the imperfections the Taco overall is a great truck. I've owned domestics as well and they still don't come close to how well built these trucks are. No auto maker is perfect and there will always be complainers of every design. It's the nature of Internet automobile boards to be more negative than postive. This peticuliar board has many knowledgable people on it that will help you out tremendously on what potential trouble to look for, and what to buy for aftermarket products that work well on the truck. I don't believe you will have any regrets if you've done your research and the Taco fits your needs.

Owned mine for six months and still think I made the right choice.
