Well, Jredneck480 and I did the front this afternoon. The hardest part was getting the new coil and strut up in place and then aligning the bolts on the lower control arm.... other than that, it was very time consuming, but easy. We took our time to make sure everything was perfect. Took it for a test run so if there are vibrations I will know which end it is from. Tomorrow morning we are getting on the back...
All in all, nothing to be scared of if you take your time- some pointers...
1. if you do this at home have a GREAT jack and jack stands. I spent $100 on a 3 ton floor jack and a pair of 6 ton jack stands that extended to 22"... this made it easy.
2. take the springs to a shop to have them do it... much better... The only shop in town that could do it today was closing up when I pulled up, so they made me pay a little more, but still very much worth it.
3. Use a bottle jack between the upper control arm and the wheel well to push everything down and another jack on the lower control arm to push up when trying to align the bottom two bolts for the lower control arm and hub.
4. Be patient and have beer handy.

Just got myself all cleaned up from installing my lift today. It took us 7-1/2 hrs to do both the front and back. We also took our time and made sure that everything went together right.
I've got just one question for you all. Should I have gotten longer u-bolts? I just went ahead and installed the shims while I had it all apart and I really don't feel comfortable with the amount of threads that were left on the u-bolts. One of them on each side peaks past the edge of the nut but the other bolt is a thread or two away from reaching the edge of the nut. Is this normal?
I got a set of U-bolt that I ordered for the shims. But I didn't install them! Instead I decided to remove the helper spring that is on the bottom. When I installed the shims the bolts were enough so that I didn't need the longer U-bolts.
I left mine as is and the two front ones are poking through, but the back ones aren't... I'm leaving it though because that was a pain in the ass... Off road trip=majoc success... pix to come tomorrow when I am sober..

So, today I painted the front emblem. Also gave it a shave(removed side emblemsa and TRD stickers/wash/clay/wax job.... I'll get some better offroad pics later this week but I wanted to see what it could do... def will be getting teh rear OME shocks before too long to give more flex.
The ride is stiffer than stock, but not by much and I think it rides much better... over potholes you can hardly feel it!

In that last pic, how hard was it to get in and out? I've done that exact same pic before!
Looks very nice, I can't wait! However, I found out that my lift won't be here until monday or tuesday now because of the power outages we had. Oh well, soon enough!
