Anyone else getting this tit tit tit tit sound by their drivers side seatbelt, whenever the road is a little rough or a bump so basically 85-90% of the time in the Tacoma. it is not the belt though I have left it off pulled it all the way out and nothing I rolled the window down a little and then all the way down and its still there. Is there a easy way to remove piller cover on DC
I also have that sound. Although I've not taken apart the seat belt assembly. It annoys me, but I live with it until someone here posts that there is a fix.
^ Yes, I pulled it off, but the seat belt mechanism does not make the noise. It sounds like it's the entire pillar squeaking, maybe a bad weld. Sounds like the cab is flexing too much.

To remove the pillar, you need to pull the weather gasket off from top to bottom, then pull the bottom part of the pillar off first, then the top. There will be 2 bolts there 10mm to get out.
I didn't pull the entire thing off because I saw no need, I troubleshooted the area and it doesn't have anything to do with the seatbelt.
Shit is ANNOYING. You can barely hear it but it's enough to piss me off!
I have the same noise too! Pretty annoying...I actually took mine to the dealer for some other repairs and had them check it out. But they told me they couldn't duplicate the sound and therefore couldn't even look into it.
I too tried taking everything apart and putting back together, even sprayed some lubrication on the seat belt mechanism but the noise didn't go away. I agee with NORCAL as it may be a bad weld in the pillar.
I too have this slight noise. I haven't talked to the dealer about it. I think it has to do with the way the pillar cover, headliner and door rubber molding fit together.
My driver side doesn't have any noise but passenger side does. So far I tried to click the passenger side belt even when no one sitting there and the noise seems to be gone. I think the plastic cap near the floor which cover the seat belt anchor is hitting the pillar. That's my guess now. I will need to try that longer.

well crap... seems others have this. i dont know if its the seatbelt.. but i think it might be something in the headliner right over the door..... when its rattleing i can push up on the headliner right there and it will seem to stop. i'll be taking it in to the dealer soon.
