URD CAI arrived but there is a problem

FedEx finally dropped off my intake this morning. When I opened the box, I found that the tubing was silver, not black. I thought they came in black??? I was not prompted to choose which version when I ordered unless I missed something. Anyone else have the same issue? I don't know if I'm going to return it yet.

Yeah, that's what Flux told me. It shouldn't stand out on mine since I basically have the stock grill but it would be a different story if I had a mesh grill. I wish URD would let people know this before ordering.

That sucks, especially since there is a special note that says they ship with black powdercoating. Someone on their end dropped the ball on that one

I just talked with Brian at URD. Per my suggestion, they will now offer the option of black or polished aluminum.

They will probably add the option to the website page. In the mean time you could leave a message in the Notes box at checkout.

Thanks Pb. I tried calling URD today but all I got was their voicemail. How did you get a hold of him? I think all of this could have been handled better by them. I'll see about exchanging mine.

Tony, you can have mine for $500!

I have connections.

They are a good company, and have good products, but they're a little weak in the management department.

Leave a message on the sales department voicemail, and they will call you back. Sometimes Brian is in the office on Saturday. He might swap out yours for a black one.

Brian just told me that the black or polished aluminum option should be added to their website some time today.

The updates are on the website now. URD is now charging $10 more for the black tubing.

My bad. You're right it's up to $500 with the MAF calibrator. I already had the calibrator. I bought it used from a fellow TN member.

It's installed and working just fine. I was able to transfer the map from a buddy that had the intake/calibrator combo.
