Help! Lipstick on the seat.

Wifey dropped her lipstick and it marked the side of the passenger seat. I have the TRD sport/off road seats. Tried cleaning product called Oxy Pro. Got about 60-70% of it. Any other suggestions?

Thanks

Try brake cleaner.... I have used it a few times on my seat so I know that it won't hurt it. It all depends on the type of stain. I'm guessing that lipstick is oily, so maybe brake cleaner will be the ticket. Be sure to use a clean WHITE cloth or paper towel.... none of those fu fu ones with the colored designs. Sometimes the fu fu comes out and dyes your seat.

Be careful with the brake cleaner. It will mess up your plastic trim peices, door panels, dash, etc. It kinda melts the plastic.

I use 303 Aerospace Upholstry Cleaaner for spot stains.

You can also try WD-40. It works great on oil based stains, like lipstick. Then once the stain is gone you can remove the WD-40 smell with soapy water and a brush.

Yeah, Brake cleaner is an awesome cleaner, but it totally destroys anything that has oils in it, like plastic. It will really mess up your headlights and taillights if it gets on there.

Get some on your hands and watch how fast it drys the oils out of your skin. It makes your hands all dry and tight. Keep it away from your trucks paint too.

Thanks again for all the help.

Get rid of the smell of WD40?! Am I the only one that loves that smell. I guess maybe I wouldn't want it filling up my truck all the time, but I like it.

Won'tl the WD 40 stain the seat as well? I ask this because my armorall bottle fell over and dripped on my back seat and it is now stained.

I heard WD-40 has fish oil in it. Some folks spray that on lures cuz fish the like smell too. I dunno, just something I recently heard.

It's better just to keep girls out of the cab of the truck- if they insist on coming along, let'em ride in back with the dog.
