Hey guys, I've searched around and don't see many threads on here about hitting up the track. I'm going to Orlando Speedworld this Fri night with two buddies. All stock- '07 Taco TRD Sport DC LB 2WD (mine), '07 Chevy 2500HD EC 2WD 6.0L, '06 Ram 1500 Hemi QC 2WD. How do you think the truck will do against them in the 1/4? We're just running for a good time. My friend brags about his Hemi an awful lot, so I hope for his sake, the Taco doesn't put him in his place, ha. I'll be sure to post results. Any suggestions? Oh, and this is also an invite for local Tacos!
Actually should be close runs...
Closest speedway for me is 60 miles away, so it would have to be a woops how'd I end up here thing before I really went out of my way to go. I know they have up'd the price to about $50 for the race and tune cost at the track around here. Besides, I want the SC in first...
I raced a few at the 1/8th. Heres the video. Thats before I had my intake.
I beat every single V8 out there. Only pickups that beat me were the single cab Hemi and the SRT-10 QC. I didn't have my video camera that time though. I just went again this past weekend and beat a Chevy 2500 HD.

Yeah, your thread is the only one I found. Did your times improve with the intake? I'm completely stock, and wanted to run stock before any mods, to compare. It's not the best time of year to run, but I'm not waiting months to do anything to the truck! Does anyone know offhand how much heavier the long bed is than short? I'm about as heavy as they come minus 4x4. I'm excited to see what happens, the Hemi is QC and has 20's so I'm hoping it'll be close. I won't care getting beat by "the king" of light duty V8s, but he may cry getting beat by a V6 ha.

Actually, the last time I went which was this past weekend, I had my URD TCAI and I aired down my tires a whole 10 psi on each tire. I couldn't do better than a 10.2, I was soooo pissed.

That's weird. Do you think it's because of the weather now? I don't know the last time you went and ran a better time... I know it's been hot here lately, so I'm not expecting an incredible time, but it should affect the others the same, so it's all good.

Yeah the 1st and 2nd time I went it was in the winter time. Colder air for the intake, but the air would be more dense.
my Cardomain has my 1/4 time...I went on an open track night just to have fun...I'm sure my t-case hated me for it but whatever...
