Recently just bought 07 acc. trd white last week . lookin for upgrades so I browsed and found this forum. Ive been reading this forum for the past 2 days . I hope this will be my home in home being part of this.. YOU GUYS ROCK.. Cant wait to get started on my upgrades.
Whats the best upgrade for the money to start with.... Lorado Tonneau cover..???
I installed hood supports right off the bat. I hate that cheesy hood support on a truck. No self respecting truck should have a prop to hold its hood up.

This is what im thing and what i would like to do based on the experienced upgraders in this forum
1)Lorado tonneau cover cus i heard it uses the same installation as the mini tie downs..I got a 450r wheeler so this would give easy access on roollinnn up the cover
2) TRD cold air intake - flowmaster 40 series delta flow JUST the muffler though\
3) and that grill craft grill black mesh is pretty sweet looking based on pics
I got the sport as well white . AMP I use it as a everyday driver and I just want it to look good...Plus I will prolly take it campin and off road round once a month...thanks for inputs!!!!!!!!!!!!
Probably the best mod for me was the lift. It's not the best one for what I want, but it was much cheaper and the truck rides better. I have more clearance offroad, was able to fit larger tires, the rear doesn't hit the bump stops even with heavy loads, and that annoying wheel hop and chirp over bumps and accelerating around corners is gone.
Hood struts are great, bed cover almost required here in NY (unfortunately I hate mine so it's not my favorite thing), and better tires than the stock ones before the snow comes. TRUST me on that one....

ANY INPUT ON THIS STartup??????
Yes, perfect. I would only add the blacked out head light mod. It looks awesome on white trucks. And possibly a lift, wheels and tires down the road. Look at this for sale forum. There are some sweet wheels and donahoe coil overs

Welcome to TN!
To start with? WOW!
Myself personally? I would get the lift and a nice set of wheels & tires.
It's one of the biggest cost, of upgrades. But it makes the biggest difference. IMHO!
As for your choices that you asked about?
-If I see a truck with a Tonneau cover I really don't look twice.
-CAI and exhaust? Not a big enough improvement over stock to make it a big priority.
-Grillcraft grill? Well what can I say? "LOOKS SHWEET"!
But it is your truck! Make it your own! All your ideas are great!
I'd suggest taking some time and making a list of things you see on other people's Taco's. Then prioritize them by what you would like.
i.e. Let's say you have a list of 10 Mod's you want to do?
Ask yourself? Out of that 10, if you could do only 1! Which would it be?
And that's where you start!

Great advice guys..and I appreciate the input .... Just lil nervous on voiding the warranty since I just broke 1000 miles on my truck still got a long way to go .... Will be starting the upgrades soon then figure out how to post pics.....!
Right out of the gate I included the following add-ons:
-Toyota Bet Mat
-Toyota All Weather Floor Mats
-Toyota Bike mounts (2)
-Toyota Bug Shield
-Westin Tube Steps
All of which I like, except I took off the bug deflector because I heard it scratches the hood paint. I may put another one on in the winter months. I think I like the looks better without it.
Buying a SnugTop Xtra Vision Canopy on Monday. Need it for the dog...
On the wish list is:
-TRD Seatcovers
-Tires (definately by winter)
-CAI+Exhaust (haven't decided on TRD vs other brands)
-Lift kit (I'll proly hold out and save up for a good coil over package)

When I got my truck I had them put window visors and the all-weather mats in as part of the deal, so I had those to start.
The first thing that I did was to switch out the bulbs with red leds to make them a little more friendly to use at night-time. I left the dome light white in case I need a brighter white light.
I have an order in for a set of the AVS Stepshield door sill protectors in grey to match the trim.
Next on my list is a smoke colored AVS Bug Deflector II.
Although not really a modification I also want to get a bike mount for my mountain bike.
At some point when I have the money I also plan on getting a Lund toneau cover, cant remember the model but it's the zip-lock style. I knew someone who had it before he got rid of his tacoma and it worked slick.
Someone else had mentioned it and I really want to get one of the DF-TOYs so I can use my MP3 player again.
I might eventually get some new tires and rims cause the stock ones arent anything special, but i'll probably get all that I can out of these tires, just cause I cant afford to waste money.
I'm sure I'll come up with some more things... dont plan on doing anything drastic to it though.
