Where have people mounted an antenna for satellite radio? I am not sure where to put it. I thought of running the wire through the rear slider, but I don't know if that will cause any leaks. Where have people mounted their antennas?
Thanks in advance

Here are a couple photos. Front center of roof and wire is ran along the windowhield seal down inbetween the pillar and fender gap, under the rubber seal, then under the dash.
The wire doesn't get pinched there between the door, i formed it and it works great.
... and I didn't do that to the top of my windshield seal. Thats how it was when I bought it and the rubber won't reform... just goes back to looking like that if I try to put it back.

Mine is mounted right next to my antenna. Perfect reception.

Works great there and just ran it through the hole were the rest of the wires on the door are and under the carpet. Need to get a mount for my receiver, now it's just floating around.
I put mine under the back right corner of the passenger bedrail cap. I works great even under my fiberglass tonneau. And the best part is you dont see it at all...
I instead did a clean install. I was going to do a write up on how to install a factory look XM antenna, but I've been procastinating and busy as well, so when I find the time I'm going to post it. Here's a look...

I put my antenna in front the second light like you want to. I have had no problem with leaking.
Make a small notch on the rear of the light to allowing the cable not to bind.
When you pull the rear stop light you will find a rubber foam seal that will probably tear and/or fall apart. Just clean it as much as you can, I actually left some that was intact. I got some real 3m silicon and just run a small bead around the outside edge and tightened it down.

Thanks for the compliments. I did this install because I wanna keep it stealthy. The idea of the wire running down the roof was not my cup of tea. It was very simple to install, just get a nice template to cut the hole, and grow some "cojones" and do it. You'll like it!! Trust me

The install was pretty straight forward. I did it at the time I dropped the headliner when I applied the Rammatt sound deadening. Just give me some time to get my pics in order, and I'll be posting the write up when I get my thoughts together
One word of advise, stay away from sharkfin antennas; I don't' think it will look nice in a truck. It will stick-up like a sore thumb. Besides this is a truck not a Bimmer, and that's why I went with a low profile satellite antenna. It's funny...the other day I saw a Taco with a Fuba (whip) antenna, Yuck!!

Similar location, but my Sirius antenna is inside the truck sitting on the corner of the dash up next to the windshield. Still get good reception. I didnt really want to start running wires all over the place, and had already had a dash mounted antenna in my 350Z for some time, so i knew reception would work that way.
