Good concept, except it'll suck to get shot in the back. and i know it happens. They need to add one of those door hinges with the half circle for the back that lays on top of the doors and opens when the turrent come's up.

Don't suppose there's any way to stick a video in here I have on a flash drive?

tonythemarine,

We have them on trailers protecting the bases in Iraq from motar and rocket attack. We train the Army to operate them and my people rotate six-nine month tours to repair them.

20mm Tungsten rounds at 4,500 rounds per minute rate of fire.

Go Navy!

The current presidential motorcade uses those. They have armored suburbans leading and following. If they hear gunshots or someone poses any threat to the motorcade, they blow the roof and start firing 360* around them until they clear the area.

My dad was briefed by the secret service on them before his department participated in one of George Bush Sr.'s "parades" here in Pascagoula.

On the presidential version, the roof of the suburban is blown off pneumatically and the turret pops up. At least that's how it was in 1990 something.
