After hanging around and reading all the great information out there that everybody has to post, I figured I'd add some of my own. I finally got up the nerve to do one of the performance mods that I've been thinking about for quite some time. It's not nearly as pricey as an intake or exhaust...but honestly, judging from the seat of my pants dyno, I think I get about 20 - 25 hp out of it...
Here it is...THE FUZZY DICE MOD (step by step instructions included).
1) Proper planning is crucial for the fuzzy dice mod. Luckily I did my homework and found out that the best gains for my Indigo Ink taco would be from the black fuzzy dice. Some of you with the white tacos may want to check into the white fuzzy dice. I picked mine up at the local Wal-Mart. Got a great price on 'em.
2) Unpack your fuzzy dice. Be careful not to damage anything crucial. Here is my set all unpacked and ready to install.
3) As you can see, I left my fuzzy dice in the stock configuration. If you look closely, you can see that there is a knot in the cord used for hanging. Since I don't have the ScanGauge II mount on my mirror, I decided to let the knot in. Those of you with the mount, you may need to modify your dice to fit accordingly.
4) Hang from mirror. Getting this step right may take some time. Be patient though. When it's all said and done, the results are stunning. Here's my configuration.
5) (optional) After installation, you may want to consider a different configuration for your dice. I may decide to have the passenger side die hang a little lower depending on the balance. It's all personal preference though.
...well, there it is. My latest mod. Hope this helps some of you out there. Let me know what you think (and try not to kill me, please).
