Vehicle Lunging

I just got my Toyota survey yesterday in the mail. Bought it in Mar. I don't think they are really interested in my opinion. Anyway, it made me think about the lunging my 07 DC auto 2wd does when idling. I put it on the survey. We'll see if they contact me. I've read all the threads about it but I haven't seen anything about a TSB for it. Does one exist? I was going to bring it up with the dealer when I have the next maintenance done just so there is another one on file. I'd like to refer to a TSB when I take it in if one exists.

Yeah, they were real prompt to address the vibration issues I mentioned in the survey. Not!

Did you have the air conditioning on? What you describe is common with our trucks if the compressor kicks in.

I know that it happens when the compressor cycles but it shouldn't happen. I have never had that happen in all the vehicles I've owned. I can see this as a law suit waiting to happen. If I don't have my foot firmly on the brake it will lunge a little. This is going to happen when some kid walks in front of a Tacoma and it lunges. I can't believe they address a weak tailgate and not this. This is my third Toyota truck ('84, '04, '07) and none of the others had this problem.

My '06 D cab lundges too with the A/C, kinda freaked me out at first. I thought that the guy behind me bumped me the first time!

It suprises me sometimes too. I bet their fix for it would be a sticker on the visor warning you to have the brake firmly pressed when stopped.
