quick wheel question

If I have a negative offset, will the wheel stick out more or less?

there are tons of references out there.

Here is just one I quickly found on that thing they call google - http://www.1010tires.com/tech.asp?type=wheels

Backspace is more crucial though when determining if the wheel will stick out (offset is sort of a function of backspace... offset = centerline of rim to mounting surface). A lower backspace will make the wheel stick out farther, and negative offset is associated with lower backspaces.
