Anyone notice any growling at certain speeds?

Call me picky, but my truck seems to have a growl at 40 mph. To me it sounds like a wheel bearing or a hub noise. It doesn't matter if you are on the gas or drifting and sometimes you can kind of feel it at 20 mph too. I only have 37K on my Taco, the tires are newer and the front end was recently aligned with the TSB. I mentioned it to the dealer when I took it in for the TSB and he noted "related to the TSB". You can faintly hear it and kind of feel it in your feet on the floor boards. I just have this feeling that the dealer may say that I'm crazy. I tried it with the A/C on and off, drifting and under power, in neutral and in drive, no change.

Has anyone heard of this? I know a guy with the identical truck only it's an '07, I may ask him if I could drive his to see if I'm just nuts....

You can drive all the way over here, see what mine feels like. A "sort of" growling noise along with a vibration that feels like a "buzzing" in the steering wheel and pedals.

This all occurred at the exact moment when I replaced my soccer-mom, mini-van tires with load-range D, 8-ply Greyhound bus tires running at 62psi.

Coincidence? I THINK NOT!

It was deliberate!

Bring it , Jabroney!

Just drive it. If it's a wheel bearing it will DEFINITELY get louder.

I get growling and dirty looks while holding on to the "your driving scares the hell out of me" handle. But on a serious note between the kids, the Revo's, and the radio it's a wonder I hear anything.

4x4 ??????

could be your tires cupping

after a recent alignment
worn tires only get worse

tip:
only align new tires

align worn tires is a band aid fix
NO WAY possible to get a correct alignment
on an already *%#*&@!!!! up tire

CANT BE DONE

once the tires start to cup
for what ever reason
they will continue

i mount new tyres
& drive directly onto the alignment table

unless i hit something
or put it in the ditch
it lasts till next set

i use a real truck alignment center
not one of those frilly soccer moms deals

& the local toyota dealers
DO NOT GET THAT OPPORTUNITY
to align my truck

good luck
