Rear Diff Lock

i was wondering if any of you guys who have the rear diff lock use it instead of 4wd or if you need to use it with 4wd. Thank you guys

in stock form, it must be used in 4lo. however, you can mod it so it can be used in 2wd or 4hi

Unless you do the locker mod, you must be in 4lo in order to engage it. It doesn't replace 4wd, it gives you traction if you have one rear wheel that is spinning due to the lack of traction.

I did the mod and went wheeling a few weeks ago and never actually put the truck in 4wd....I stayed locked the entire time and was able to climb most everything with out any problems.

BTW - the mod rocks....nothing like being locked in 2wd in the snow, or 4hi.
