I've received a few PMs from TN members who want to do another Houston meet. How does everyone's schedules look for Saturday, September 29 or October 6. Our last meet was on August 4, so by that time it will have been about 2 months and people should be ready for another meet. The weather should also be nicer by then.
The last location worked out pretty well, but feel free to propose new venue ideas. Some of us went out to lunch afterward and installed a few guys' mods, so that's another option as well.
Post up your availability and ideas!
EDIT: The meet will be on SEPTEMBER 29. CLICK HERE for meet details.
I'm good for the 29th. Kevin, I'm going to do some early fishing tomorrow morning before work for a few hours. I'll probably go to Seabrook flats. I'm really liking my new Daiwa Zillion reel. I've already caught a few specs with it last week. Hopefully, we can do some fishing soon.
Flux, can I ask what all you guys do at these meets? Do you go on a cruise, off roading, just hang out and look at each others trucks and enjoy the company? I ask because I am in Springfield Missouri but would possibly be up for a road trip. Thanks. cbwyatt

Just putting it out there, heow 'bout a cruise down to Galveston after the meet & greet. Me and Matt (trd_sport) were throwing the idea around. He know a very good spot for some group photo.
I'm okay with September.

Wyatt, the last few meets have just been a bunch of us meeting up in a central location and checking out each others' rigs and taking pictures. We usually get between 6 to 15 trucks to show up. After a couple of the meets, some of us have grabbed a bite to eat or helped each other out with modding.
The idea of a cruise down to Galveston for those who want to sounds like fun, too, especially if Matt will be taking some pictures on the beach. I could definitely use a new backdrop for pics of my truck. I'm sure even my g/f would show up for that, and we could grab lunch or dinner on the beach afterward.
Yes yes yes on the 29th one of the few weekends i'm actually off. Not sure if the Mrs. would like the idea of spending all day gone with a meet at the Beach. Could we possibly do a centrally located meet possibly earlier than normal and then drive down to Galveston. Just a suggestion.
cbwyatt: Although our meets are pretty awesome...i've only attended one so take my advice with a grain of salt, the info on mods and to actually see them is awesome but to drive all the way from Missouri...I'm not totally sold on that idea. H-Town has some pretty awesome networking / support going on. So to attend a meet and live here is a really KOOL thing however if you do make it down I'll buy ya lunch.
The 6th actually works for me, but im going through a job change so it's gonna be tight for me to know. I'm not sure, but I might buy some hoes for front and back, but I'm not sure if they will get here before the meet. I'm tryin to convert my rig from street to off-road so it's kinda like im starting fresh, lol.

runerules05: Check out Craiglist / Houston obviously and do a search for 2006 Tacoma. There is a guy in Cypress who has a 6" Fabtech lift he is selling...he is actually selling his truck and has decided to take of his lift and wheels/tires and sell them separately. Hope this helps.
What i'm really planning to do is getting either a 3 or 6 inch lift kit, but keep the 20's that came with my truck. I'm getting tired of my street tires so i think i'll get some larger profile tires and mate 'em with the same wheels. I might also just buy some 265x75x16's with some wheels and not put a lift on, but im not really sure yet.

if youre gona keep your 20s... dont get the 6" lift... it wont look right IMO. go with the 3"
29th is good for me. By then, I will have made the mods on my map lights, foglights, 4x4 switch, constant on- cig plug, extra cig plug and A/C plug in-switchs, some tail gate lights, and underbody flood / (Rock lights). :-)
In addition, Heat, did you ever get that PCB for the clock to go blue, and what about modding the fog light switch, like when they are off (blue)/ on (white)?
Finally, I think I've found a spare A/C control unit to send AZ, and we're going to start working on making that blue as well.
After that, I'm done. I will have officially spent more money on the truck in mods than it cost me to buy. The insurance company is really wondering about all of the mods and crazy sound system that cuased me to buy a $20k rider. :-)
