I think the reason why they dont offer this package is because a lot of people prefer a better entering and departure angle when offroading. The long bed will not help in having more clearance on the entering or departuring angle of due to the long wheel base. just my 2 cents.
I agree with Splicer. I think the guys who would buy an off-road truck are too smart to run around with a scoop that is non-functional. Seriously, it is lame and is analagous to painting flames on the sides of your truck or these so-called "spinners" on your wheels.
But I know many will disagree and I'm sure they're happy with their scoops.
I've heard of some swapping out hoods.
I'm glad mine didn't come with a scoop...wouldn't have bought it if it had. I do wish, however, that it hadn't come with a sliding back glass...don't like this.
They don't come on OR models because, if you wheel yor truck, you can't see over the scoop (blocks vision) in some situations and some guys even say it reflects sunlight back into your eyes.

Whadda mean non-functional?
It catches bugs all summer to keep the poulation in check, and fills with snow in winter so you have a snowball supply ready. You never know when you might need to throw one.

It is not non-functional, the ladies dig it.
But seriously, I only have it because I wanted the good sport seats, and thought the LSD was more useful than the locker for the little bit of 4x4 mine will see (snow).
But, now that I have it, and know the ladies like it, I'm not posting it in the hood swap section.

If I wanted a scoop I'd have gone to Baskin Robbins. Whoa, maybe I have scoop envy. Nah! just a preference thing as anyone who has seen the hood swap thread knows - Yikes, most guys are frothing at the mouth for a scoop...

Yea same here, the reason i didn't get a TRD Sport was because i was pretty much paying more for a scoop i didn't like. But i didn't realized so many people wanted it, if i knew i would have gotten the sport and sold the hood to some guy for some cash in the pocket.
To answer the question, it's a marketing thing, like some have already stated. The OR is alittle bit cheaper then a Sport, i guess if people thought they could get the Scoop with an OR they wouldn't buy a Sport. And I guess there are people out there like me, non-functional scoops don't belong on any car.
