Eclipse AVN5510 vs. Alpin IVA-W205 + Blackbird II

I need some help on deciding which DVD Navigation players to get. The Alpine IVA-W205 including the Blackbird II is great due to the obvious portability of the BBII. I like the sleek black look and it doesn't have an ugly green illumination like the Eclipse. However, the Alpine has a slightly smaller screen - .6.5". I like the Eclipse because of its known quality and 7 inch screen. I don't like the ugly green illumination screens. I asked three people at car stereo shops on which one they would go for - all of them picked the Eclipse over the Alpine.

Which would you pick and why? I will be adding an iPod controller and bluetooth to either one of the systems.


If anyone has pictures of the 5510 or 6610, that would be great.

I have the W205. Waiting on the BB2 to hit retail for less than 500

If you want the mobility of the GPS, then I would choose the w205/BBI combo. Don't worry about the screen size between the 2 choices. The difference is negligible. I have the w200 and h701 processor. I love this setup. I'm waiting for the BBII to drop in price as well. I haven't decided if I'm going to upgrade to the w205.

If the w205 is just like my w200, then you'll love the Ipod control. It is very quick. Good luck.
