so i'm getting my rear leafs put on this morning and they replace the entire leaf pack including helper spring which means they don't have to take apart my leaf pack which means my AAl is going back to Toyota with my old leaf pack
oh well, that is the price I pay for being too lazy to remove it before coming in for service....
I'm hoping that with the new leaf pack from Toyota and my OME 885 shocks/springs up front I'll be sitting about right anyway, and hopefully NO MORE VIBRATIONS.....
so you had a total of four leaves including the aal and you went in for the tsb to get the new leaf packs that have four leaves...........we're you planning on adding the aal to the new four leaf pack? ever heard of the term bulldogged? that's when the ass end of your trucks is noticeably higher than the front. some people like it.

Right now with the OME 885's up front and the AAL in the back my truck sits about 2" higher in the rear than in the front. I want to get rid of the AAL and use the Toyo 4 leaf pack without an AAL, hoping the ride height will be about level or maybe only 1" higher in the rear and the biggest thing is all of the vibrations should be gone.

Never heard of it called 'bulldogged'...... I've heard of it being called RAKE.
It's pretty normal for trucks to have some rake (rear higher). It's for hauling stuff and/or towing (tonque weight). The rear is higher so when weight is applied, it'll level out instead of bottoming out.
seems the desert setups are kinda low in the back and everyone else has rake, to me the stock setup, especially with the new 4 leaf pack, has too much rake, that is why I'm hoping my truck with the OME 885's up front and the new 4 leaf pack will sit about right.....
here in florida, most of my redneck friends have their six inch lift but they put a 4 inch lift in the back so the rear is lower. they do it so that more weight goes to the back tires when goin through mud to help push them through it.

on the initial ride home from the dealer after the install I didn't notice any vibrations at all...seems the wheel openings are about the same gap but the bottom of the truck looks to drop slightly from front to back.....
This is the setup I'd like to run. Did you do before and after measurements?
I had the 3 leaf pack with an alcan aal which gave me about a 2" lift in the back, when going to the 4 leaf pack with no aal I'm sitting about 1" lower in the back. I can measure from the top of my wheel or center of my hub or something if you would like, drop me a note or reply back...
I'm not crazy about the current ride height and am looking for options other than a rear block to give me about 1" lift in the back. Most aal's give about 2" of lift so I need to figure something out....
fyi, no vibrations right now, but I'm sure they'll be back when I raise the back end up an inch or so....
i'm in the group buy on the tom woods so that should take care of the vibes, i'm probably going with the double cardan solution as it just seems like a way better solution for an extra hundred bucks....
