X-Runner fuel problem

My 2006 X-Runner is in the shop while the dealer and tech services change parts out until the warning lamp goes off. The problems are related to fuel tank, pump and evap controls. Has antone been through anything similiar?

This vehicle has been in the shop about 6 times, the warranty is expired and they are doing diagnostic training on my Visa card. It has only gone 40,000 milesand the gas cap is fine for the 12th time.

Wow! Sorry to hear of your trouble. I hope you can get them to cover the items that they replaced, That didn't fix your problem.

Good Luck!

Nope, haven't heard of such problem. Probably not an XR-only problem, as the emission-related equipment are shared with all Tacoma. You can try the XR community, http://www.xr-underground.com
Goodluck with the repair.
