Lund screen or no Lund screen...

just wondering if it would be better for my intake if i was to take off the Lund screen or not...?

it just hit me that maybe not enough air is going thru the screen and that there's also the stock bar behind the screen blockin the intake plus the dry wrap filter...

does it matter?

that's without the dry-wrap.

The Lund grill screen will definitely (1) restrict air flow, and (2) hold in heat. In fact, that is the whole purpose behind its design. It's made for cold weather use. Both of these factors limit the effectiveness of your intake. I'd lose the Lund.

I'm not knockin' on you, Tony, but you gotta plan your mods out better so that you're not throwing good money after bad.

What happened with the Grillcraft? I seem to recall you were missing some hardware. Did you ever get replacement and install it? That would give you the look you're going for without restricting air flow. If you're hesitant to cut on your truck, I'd be happy to help.

Yeah, grow some balls. Cut the grill, and install the GrillCraft. Lots of air flow.

the grill may hold in some heat, but only at idle, when you aren't needing power anyways. and it isn't a ram air intake, so it doesn't need a hard rush of air to be effective. i don't think the grill is having any adverse affects on the intake. if the intake were in a vacuum or in an environment with very restricted air flow then it could affect it, but that isn't the case here. i wouldn't worry about it
