I have a 2006 Tacoma V6-4.0L and was looking at the K & N intake kit. Has anyone installed this kit and is it worth the money? Also is it very loud, I saw somewhere it mention it was louder then stock, but how much louder. Thanks

There's several intake kits for the 4.0 out there that you might want to consider before making a decision. I have the K&N kit and I'm happy with it. It's much louder than stock, but as far as performance increase..it's not noticeable.

AFE, TRD, URD, Volant are just some other intake brands to consider. Seach the forum for these brands and you'll learn more about their pros and cons.
The only true cold air intake is the one made by URD. Prices vary greatly.

The general recommendation is to run a dry filter instead of an oiled one.

I too have the k and n intake and i love it. i think that its actually louder than my magnaflow exhaust. If you dont like that intake check out URD and get the true CAI. Just put up a shield to keep water off it.
