blacked out headlights can be done for a $4.47 can of krylon fusion spray, a home oven and about 3 hours of your time!! search customtacos.com and here for the complete directions on how to do it.

basically, preheat oven to 325, TURN OFF, let headlights bake in TURNED OFF oven for about 6-9 min, take out and pull apart. then spray the chrome (but not the reflector for the headlights) a few times w/ light coats. then carefully reinstall. press the headlight together and bake again, but this time when you remove it press the two pieces back together. some say to add silicone sealent, others say that there is enough on there to seal right up. i personally didnt add anything. i did the wifes corolla healights over a year ago and they have not fogged up or anything, so i didnt add anything when i did my tacoma.

black headlight mod = do it yourself

haha a lot of people are scared to do it, but if you take your time it usually comes out looking really nice.

you just have to makesure you be careful when you put the headlights back together cuz you might scratch the paint and/or not seal it correctly, in which case you will a lot of water in it like i did and have to reopen and reattach.

have fun with your new taco and good luck with mods
