Strategic Sound Deadening

Okay, all you sound deadening pros. I'm not digging the road noise in the Taco and I want to at least cut it down some. I don't have the $$$ to drop for a full cab sound deadening, which leads me to my question...Are there certain strategic areas where you can place the sound deadening material in order to get the most "bang for your buck?" I'm thinking the floor will be the spot, but with all the experience on here, I figure some of ya'll will have some knowledge that I don't. Any info is appreciated. Take care.

What about that ensulite stuff on that website? Anyone seen any benefit from placing it on top of the Raamat? Also, does anyone know if a double-cab sound deadening install can be done in sections, i.e. so I could still drive my truck to work during the week while I'm installing the stuff? Thanks for the info.

The extra layer of ensolite is certainly worthwhile. You'll definitely want to do the sound deadening in stages as you have the time. The hardest stage is also the most important: the floor. Especially if you take it all the way up the firewall in front.

i know that some vehicles add some noise isolatin material on the fender linears.

you should try that and do the 2 fronts first then the 2 rears when you get a chance.
