How to remove front Passenger "A" pillar?

I have a really annoying tick tick sound in my cab. I think I've isolated it to inside the A pillar near the Oh Shit handle. How do I remove the plastic A pillar cover?

Simply pry and pull it towards the driver's side.

Yes those have to be removed to get to two bolts that hold the grab handle on. After you remove those, the pillar trim is just held on with clips.

Remove from the bottom side of the cap, the top is more of a hook. Remove the two 10mm bolts underneath. Remove the pillar panel.

WHen you re-install the A-pillars there is a little "finger" down close to where the peice meets the dash. Use something long and skinny to get this finger behind the rubber trim around the door frame. Otherwise you'll have a little gap there. I use a dentist pick to push it into place.

One more tip. When you put the pillar back on, remember to tuck it back under the weather seal for the door.
