New 2008 Taco purchased...!

I am now a first time new truck owner! Whoo Hooo! Rather than go through all the BS from a standard salesman I contacted the dealership "Fleet Salesman" at Toyota of Dallas. I had NO negotiating to deal with, no arguments, no BS. I told him what I wanted, He showed me his price and I said yes or no the available options. Final out the door price (with the SR5 prerunner package #2 with radio, engraved VIN in widows, alarm system tinted windows, driver side lumbar support) was $25,430.00 I felt like a got a good deal and didn't have any BS at all. I also bought the 6yr extended warranty for $720. I'm now looking for a bed shell and a fuel pump cut-off switch. Anyone have any ideas?

I love the way it rides and feels. I didn't think I would like the new jagged shifter but, I'm used to it already. I've heard some new owners complain about wind noise but, I don't hear much noise from the wind. Although, I think the Dunlop tires produce more road noise than I like. I'll be switching to BF Goodrich TA's as soon as I can.

Thanks,
david

congrats.
i did the internet sales thing, configure a vehicle and send it to multiple dealers. toyota of dallas was pretty competitve on their offer, but toyota of plano beat them all out.

but it's refreshing to have price already negotiated before you even go isn't it? BTW see the thread on here about discounted toyota warranties being offered to toyotanation forum members. I too bought the warranty and i'm likely going to get myself a refund and buy one from this guy for less (though your warranty is pretty cheap already, i got the 7yr)

Welcome! I almost bought mine from them; they're just down the road from me. But I have a buddy who's the IT guy for Vandergriff autos in Arlington.

Congrats. I think that the key is to act like you dont care. I picked up an 08 Tacoma, 4x4, Access cab with the 4 cyl and 5 speed 2 weeks ago. I went to the first dealer and saw the truck but he was not going to give me what I wanted on my trade. Went to another dealer, told them about the truck I wanted, they did a dealer exchange to get the truck that I liked and gave me 4K more on my trade. I was a happy camper after that. I did better than I had expected.
