Canada warranty ending and synthetic oil

hey

1. my warranty is ending in 5000 kms and the 2 tsb's i'm thinking about are the tailgate reinforcement and the rear leaf springs........i can't notice anything 'obviously' wrong with either........are there any 'little' signs that i can check before it goes in.....probably more with the leaf springs

2. once the warranty is over i wanna switch to synthetic........is there any one kind that everyone uses in taco's or are all the major brands pretty good?...........do many people run semi-synthetic with good results?

2006 Tacoma Double Cab TRD.........love this truck!

thanks

synthetic blends r crap. they barely have any synthetic oil in them. i read it was like 5% is synthetic and the rest is dyno. if u wanna run synthetic. the only thing to go with is mobil 1 or german castrol syntec. if u wanna get expensive amsoil is excellent. but i think its overkill. i have read great things about mobil 1, so thats what i use.

Go full synthetic or don't go synthetic at all.

Many different brands are good....I run Mobile 1. I also run Amsoil in other things as well as Redline too.

Pardon my newbness...but why wait until after the warranty to switch to synthetic? Does changing the oil type have implications on the warranty?
