Grease in Hood?

I just bought a slightly used 2005 Tacoma last month. I have taken notice that in the hot sun something is comming out of the holes in the hood and dripping onto the engine that appears to be some kind of grease. The dealer had no idea why it would be in the hood except as a rust preventative thing. Has anybody else had this happen or have any ideas?

Mine does that too. If it bugs you squirt it full of degreaser and then spray it out with a pressure washer.

it is corrosion protection.
