hello all. i searched and found a topic about the leer campershell although it didnt answer my specific questions.
first off, if i do get a campershell, (i really need one for all my computer parts and tools) will i have get rid of the rail and tie down cleats ? or can they stay in there ? it would be nice to keep them.
and also, how much do you think a snugtop xtr would cost on average ? i called our local dealer and they said they couldnt give me a price. kinda odd.
wow 1695 ? kinda pricey but i think i need to dish out the cash. other wise my stuff(s) will get stolen. and i have no space at my place haha. and its good to know those rails stay !
Just curious, how easy or hard is it to put a campershell on and to take it off? Is it practical to sometimes have it on but take it off once in a while, or dois it too hard to do so?
Doesn't take long, BUT .......... You really need 2 guys to do it easily + somewhere to set the thing after you remove it. You need to build a rack to set it down where it will be stable ...... don't lay it flat on the ground.
The other thing is ...... wish I would have thought about it , is that the rubber strip on the lift up door rides against the tail gate and rubs the paint off as you collect dust and drive along ......... I guess most toppers do that?

I kept the two pieces that it came shipped on for when I take it off, you must be very careful so as to not chip the edges when handling it.

thanks for all the feedback. i checked craigslist and nothing came up. although they were selling a set of 4 trd sport wheels for 250 dollars also i guess i gotta have right timing for ebay. so hopefully i can get one a local dealer for a little less. cuz it sucks when you got almost 5,000 dollars worth of computer parts and tools sitting in your truck and nothing to atleast kinda cover them.
