No that is the set up I'm running. As long as you don't go desert sprinting you should be fine with light offroading.

Hey Toku, how's your ride compared to when it was stock? I'm considering a lift but don't won't suffer a rough ride. Thanks, and sorry for the hi-jacking.

It rides a little stiffer. But that Actually works better considering the increase in height.
The only issue I have; is that the shocks are too short. The down travel is limited. It's O.K. if you drive slow over bumps. But you will feel the jarring thud of the shocks when they max out, if you decide to go over bumps fast.

But if you are on a budget? (And you don't plan to do high speed desert runs). This is still a great; and affordable lift set up.

Are the 5100's an extended length at the stock setting? If not is there a shock out there that is that someone has had any experience with???

If you have the TRD Sport I recomend getting some after market shocks OME, bilsteins etc. The stock TRD sports are stiffer than the TRD Off-Road. I had the sport with 884's and it was really stiff and had lots of bumpsteer and truck was all over the road as well. I swaped for the OME and it was day and nite. Nice smooth ride no more bumpsteer and also removed the 1/2" spacer and just left the coils and shock setup and was able to avoid replacing the UCA's. It sits an inch higher on the rear with AAL.

I was considering the 3" Lift Coil Kit with AAL. Since I plan on replacing my bumper with an aftermarket plate bumper, maybe a winch later, the repalcement springs would also help with the weight of the new bumper. I was suprised how inexpensive the kits were. I've read several others saying the same thing about the lack of travel on stock shocks after replacing the springs. Figure the kit is $299 and 2 bilsteins are about $150, not a bad price.
