I can tell you it is fake.

NOTHING that could add 60 HP can also increase 4-7 mpg too. The only way for an engine to make 60 more HP is by putting MORE air and FUEL into the cylinder. Since there is no way that this chip can put more air into your cylinder it can't make that kind of power increase either.

Funny how they say your engine isn't making as much power because of the emissions regulations that don't optimize power, yet they then claim by optimizing power the emissions will drop 25-40%.

Try getting your money back if you aren't satisfied. I can guarantee 100% dissatisfaction.

Products that rely strictly on testimonial evidence, which are conveniently unverifiable, are always bullshit. I'm in Boulder, and one of the testimonials is from Kerry Brown, owner of a large Boulder courier service. I don't find such a courier service in Boulder. Because it's made up.

Why would you waste your time/money on something that is so clearly a hoax, a blind man could see it?

This is beyond ridiculous. Every vehicle ever made seems to have a chip made for it.

They have chips for a Delorean, and even a Yugo for christsake. I'm sure the Yugo does not have an available slot to insert this chip, and it only came with a carburetor, no way to control that. Did they really find a yugo to test?

OMG, those are way better numbers than my X-1. Anyone want to trade straight across? I went ahead and bought one for my diesel HumVee and my Ferrari 599 since I didn't have this kind of exceptional one-size-fits-all performance mods in my other diverse vehicles. I am simply amazed that this $70 thing is going to boost my HP by 10% in my half-million $ Ferrari. Simply wonderful!

Super value for the Yugo...double the HP for $70

I did a little more searching on performance chips, and found some funny stuff.

http://www.performancechips.com/perf...p-reviews.html

I would bet money that this site was created by SLR Performance Chips to look like a legitimate independent test site. They have claims of testing some 62 chips on 8 difference vehicles.

The results, SLR Performance chips for the same 69.99 averaged 36HP and 5-6 mpg.

But then almost all of the other ones were either no gain, slight gain, or big time loss. Gotta make it look like this is legit.

The GF Performance Chip lost 8-15 HP and 3-10 mpg!

Do some searching on the SLR Chip and you will find many disappointed customers that say it did nothing.

Chip

Not sure about the toyota, but i know my volvo could chip and get increasing in mpg and more hp. Emission is not the same as mpg, its how the engine burns the fuel..

but for that price and more whats probmissed sounds too good

HEY Hey hey now guys, let's not be bashing Yugo's. I owned a 1988 GVL. Believe it or not, it wasn't a bad car considering the era and the price, and the dealer stood behind it above and beyond the warranty. I pulled off the plastic rear bumper and put on a 3" sq. steel bumper with a tow hitch. Actually used to pull and launch a 16' Bayliner with it! But at 14k miles, the throw-out bearing went (2k out of warranty). The dealer replaced it for free, despite my apparent abuse.
I used to hammer that poor little car. Took out the back seat once and filled the back with sod until the rear suspension was bottomed out.

When I bought it, my insurance agent asked if it had an alarm system.

But no, as mentioned it had no computer. I think the radio was the only electronics in the whole car, everything else was old-school. And anyone stupid enough to advertise that they have a chip for it..... well, that should speak volumes about their lack of integrity.
