Question Disable Daytime Running Lights on a 2012??

Wondering if anyone has figured this out. I know that things are different in the '12s, but have no clue where to begin. I really want my DRLs gone!

Ay help would be appreciated!

Those are the turn signal bulbs dumbass.

Try a somewhat reasonable response next time.

WHY??

I have never figured out why Toyota would be do something stupid like making the dash lights on all the time. It gives drivers the the impression that the headlights are on. I see newer Toyotas all the time driving in low light conditions, no headlights. Keep the DRL's.

DRL's are a PITA in certain off-road situations.
I hunt varmints quite a bit. I spend a lot of time driving farm roads and around fields, looking for groundhogs and other varmints to shoot.
DRL's draw more attention to my vehicle and spook the creatures.

I don't have a 2012, but if I get one in the future I would certainly want to be able to turn them off.

I didn't like the look of the DRL being amber so I switched them to clear bulbs on my 2012. Didn't think about them also being the turn signals. Guess I need to change them back now. Anyone know if it is legal to have clear turn signals up front?

Get a camera and take a pic under the drivers dash. Show us if the wires are the same colors. Before you get the pic turn the hazards ON, so you know where the relay is (same as DTRL). Feel with hand the flashing then take pic from carpet pointing at the flasher. If wires are then same then remove/cut and switch which ever choice you make to get what you want. Follow threads of same issue on older models. (BlueGreen with Red tracer is what other models have)
