Timing Chain Cover Starting to leak

The dealer pointed out my timing chain cover is starting to leak where it meets together. Is there a cheap fix? I know it's aluminum so I must be careful about what is applied on it. He said "its very small and just keep changing the oil every 5k and keep my eye on it". Any suggestions?
The truck is an 07 4wd TRD with 215k yep she's been driven.

Well, you could fix it... or just keep an eye on it and change the oil ever 5k miles.

If you want a cheap fix, I guess you could just put a bead of RTV around the cover, but thats not really fixing anything.

I'd let it seep too. Wipe it off now and then, or think of it as rust prevention.

If you want to try to force some gasket stuff in there, you can try, I don't think it will last long. I'd use something like Permatex Ultra Black RTV silicone gasket maker.

The real fix is to remove the timing chain cover, clean and reapply the gasket maker. That's tedious, you have to remove all the stuff on the front of the engine, and the top including the valve covers, before you can get the cover off.

How about trying to re-torque the bolts?

Isn't there a tsb for the timing cnain cover leaking on the pre-2008 V6? Changing the gaskets is a major ordeal not to be taken lightly. Search and you will find others with this problem.
