3M Scotchguard, chip prevention

I was wondering if anyone has installed 3M's Scotchguard paint protection kit on their Tacoma? Any opinions? I was also wondering if anyone had an estimate of what it would cost to put a kit on the front of a Tacoma, bumper, grille, etc.

The dealer tried to peddle a bumper only kit to me for about $380. After reading the complaint about chips in this forum I am thinking I should do something about it....

I just picked up my taco from the autoshine shop for it's protection package. They called it the enviro package. I paid $500 for it, they wanted $598.

Here's what I got: Simonize teflon protectant on all painted surfaces. A Simonize teflon protectant/vinyl enhancer on all interior vinyl and carpeted surfaces. A petroleum based undercoat.

Here's what I get in return:
-A warranty against my paint fading or becoming discolored from acid rain, bird droppings, and other caustic natural substances (can't remember what else).
-I also get a 5 year warranty against vinyl fading or discoloration on the dash and interior, plus a warranty against stains on the upholstery.
-Last but certainly not least living up here in Vermont, I get a 10 year warranty on any rusting of body panels and undercarriage (not including rust resulting from an accident or dents, etc.).

I feel peace of mind, and to me that was worth financing the $500. Plus, for free, I got another $170 wash and detail of my truck after only driving it for a week since they need to start with it all clean for these treatments.

Does this replace the need to Wax?

Dont if this will help give you an idea of pricing or not. This place is not far from me and here's the quote he gave me for doing 2 different kits. Guy was very helpful and informative and I might do the lower kit later on but luckily my paint has held up very well to this point and ive had the truck for about 4-5 months now.

Thanks for the email. The upper kit (P0125D) is $249.95 installed while the
lower kit (P0125E) is $349.95 installed -- plus tax.
If you would like both done at the same time it would be $574.95
installed -- plus tax. We do take credit cards (m/c & visa)

As long as you have an enclosed garage we come to you for the install -
within the local area. Typical installs take 2-4 hours from start to
finish. Although we do prep the front of the vehicle, it does need to be
clean and washed (by you) prior to the install.

We do work nights and weekends to help with scheduling. We are booked
through early next week, so let me know when you are available and I'll see
what we can do scheduling wise.

Feel free to browse our site and if you have additional questions please let
me know.
