I was looking at replacing my bulbs and wanted to get something with a blue tint to it. I hate the look of yellow in the headlights. I heard that Silver Star is a good brand. Does anyone else have any suggestions or know of the part numbers for the Tacoma?
I have the silverstars, and I love them. They are so bright and they have a blueish tint. There not cheap $40 a pair. They are supposed to be coming out with silverstars for the fog lights in august or september. Take your bulb out and the part # is on them.

i have the silverstars also, and love them. They don't have as much of a blue tint as some of the other bulbs, They are more white than blue i think, definately no yellow in there.
yeah your right black, they are more white than blue. They are very bright. Did you you get the silver star parking lights? I would be interested in how they like them!

The Silver Stars have a pretty short life span. The ones in my last car only lasted a year. I replaced the bulbs in my 05 Taco with some Super Plasma PIAAs. They are super bright, and usually last about 5 years. They are really white with a slight tint of purple. The color is really nice and doesn't look cheap or fake. I got mine on Ebay for about $65 for the headlights and $60 for the fog lights. The headlights use H4 GTX, and the fog lights are 9005/9006 HB GTX.
My truck really lights up the road. I need to get some pics at night though.
I'm thinking about doing the same bulb upgrade that you did... Did you have to upgrade the wiring harness or make any other mods? Have you run into any problems at all?
I had a set of Xenon 80/100 in a Grand Cherokee before and they caused nothing but problems (of course it was a higher wattage).
Of all the bulbs I have sold at my shop, the Wagner TruViews are by far the best bulb for the money. They are a pure white light that blows away a standard bulb. I'll take a pic of my truck in the dark to show ya. I replaced fogs & heads with the TruViews.

I sell the truview bulbs here at my shop too. I haven't ever put them in my vehicles but they didn't seem to be a very blue/purple bulb. Maybe I'll have to try a set out. k
