How to override navigation system?

We just traded in our 2004 Prius for the identical 2008 model and couldn't be more delighted with the car! However, the steps we took on the 2004 to override the navigation system so that one of us could program while the other drove (which we got on a forum site four years ago) does not work on the 2008. Can anyone tell us the steps to do this override on the current model? Many thanks!

Toyota found out and the override doesn't work in the 2006+ models (or those with disc 6.1 and higher).

The only way right now is to get the Coastal Electronics lockpick (www.coastaletech.com). Just note that his customer service isn't exactly the best (read: poor) but his products are top notch.

How to override navigation system?

Does this mean gone are the days when you could tap in the corners of the 'Volume' screen and then press and hold down 'override' to be able to override the navigation system? Oh no! There is really no on-screen way to do it anymore? What a loss....

Hey, can you explain to me how to override the nav? I am not sure what you are talking about on the "overide" button? I have an 05 prius.

Cheers!
