Get on the list now =P. I don't know how many more 2005s will be available. The 2006s are expected to arrive late Oct, early Nov with more features and options and a slight makeover. New exterior colours and ext/int colour combinations will be offered too. Try several dealers around your vincinity and see if any are willing to offer MSRP or better for the 2005 models. Avoid dealers with "market price adjustment". That's basically dealer profit (like they don't make enough already).

Not sure what else. Just post your questions lol

Canada I'll sell you one.

look up Heffner Toyota........We have one in stock. You'll have to pay to have it shipped to Texas. But otherwise the price won't be bad with the exchange rate. If you call...ask for Nik.

I'm not sure how it would work out for the hybrid government rebate, warranty services, etc. I would prefer to pick one up in the states. Sorry.

I know we have sold out our entire allocation for the next month. If you havent yet, you need to get on a presold list. And you are still going to pay a "market adjustment" even on an 05. Mine is $895, other dealers in my area are at $5000 over MSRP.

But, like I said. This vehicle is one you cant find. Also, for the guy who said the dealers dont make enough already...a package 1 Prius has about $900 mark up, so there is hardly any profit in one. Thats less than 5% profit. People don't mind a furniture store making 80% profit, or an electronics store. Or even a restaurant. And dont even throw in housing. But dont let a car dealer make money!!! Or the sales person!!!

Sorry about that....had to let out some steam. The point...if you want this car, get on a list. Even now you will probably end up getting an 06, depending on how picky you are about color and options. And at least a 3 week wait if lucky

Yes, I realize that car salespeople need to eat and have families, and that the vast majority profit only from commission. For some manufacturers, I know how much their dealership cost is, so I purposely do not negotiate too aggressively.

The purpose of getting a 2005 is to qualify for the rebate. Since it is being phased out, there's really no point in rushing to get one then, if I have to pay dealer "markup".

Forget about the tax deduction you want to wait for the 2006 and enjoy the $3,250 tax credit! Be careful though they are going quickly too and there is a limit on them also.

I was at a dealer over the weekend. They had two package 6's on the lot, asking $2,000 under MSRP for them.

End of model year + more Prius supply + tax credit next year means nice discounts on the remaining 2005s.
