Got A Great Deal on HiHy!

In case any of you are shopping for a new HiHy, I recently got a great deal on the following:

2006 HiHy base model w/ pkg 1 (moonroof, cd changer) for almost $7,000 off MSRP! It was advertised in last weekend's LA times classifieds for $28,695 and they had 2 (gold & silver). I bought the gold with only 40 miles on it. I'm not sure what the mileage was on the silver but I can actually sell my vehicle today for more than what I paid for it! With taxes, it was about $31,000. Had we not bought a newspaper, we wouldn't have known about the deal as the salesman did not mention any special offers when we initially looked at it nor was it marked on any of the vehicles. I called all the Toyotas in LA hoping to get a lower price but they all said that it was the steal of the century or someone was smoking crack as they would never offer below MSRP. They had the Limited for $40K but with the money you save, you can just buy the nav & leather seats aftermarket. Plus, you'll be getting better MPG as a 4 x 2.

I got it at Hollywood Toyota (not North Hollywood) and they may advertise it again this weekend.

That is a real good deal. I got one w/o the pkg #1. MSRP was ~33,900. Got it about $4,000 off MSRP. I am in San Diego. And I thought I did pretty decent. You saved an additional $3,000 off my deal. Congrats on your car and deal.
