MP3 hookup for JBL System?

Does the JBL audio deck in the Limited Highlander have connections for an external audio source, like an MP3 player?

How hard would it be to add a plug? Is there an AUX jacK somewhere?

You need an adapter module that plugs right into an open connector in the back of the head unit in the dash. There are two major contenders. Vaistech.com has a very good OEM compatible adapter for the Highlander - SoundlinQ SLI. It is pricey but reliable.

diceelectronics.com also has an adapter which is more reasonably priced but has had software and hardware issues. Dice also makes an iPod adapter that also has an HD radio adapter included. Both integrate with the OEM radio controls.

Exclamation Better late than never

I know this question is a little old, but I'm new here...

SO you GOTTA check out this website ----> www.coastaletech.com
They sell an adapter called "Ultimate Lockpick 1" that is so cool for your limited.

If your limited has the DVD Navi like mine it will allow you to hook up any audio/video source to the car and play audio and VIDEO right on the nav screen. PLUS it will unlock your address input while moving among several other cool features. Kinda pricey ($229.00) but SO worth it! They also sell an add on adapter called "Ultimate Ipod" that will allow you to control all of the functions of the Ipod with menus on your nav screen. -Awesome Stuff!!!

GOOD LUCK!

can't be right. If you have the nav, you have the MFD right? There should be an extra plug behind the radio for external things (like a CD Changer or iPod connector).

Stock: mine reads CD Changer
After iPod Connection: CD1 is my changer and CD2 is the iPod connector.

I'm using DICE's unit.
