Anti Theft System

Hi, I am a new HH 07 owner and was recently sitting in my car for 5 minutes or so, changing into sneakers - anyway, the doors automatically locked, and then the red security light lit up, and of course when I went to get out of the car, I set off the alarm. Why did this happen? Can't you sit in your car for a few minutes?

Cool Automatic Locks

Not sure why it armed the alarm, but my '06 HiHy will re-lock itself after 15sec if it is locked and you unlock it with the keyless remote, but not open the door within the 15seconds. Maybe the passive lock system has been upgraded from the '06? You might want to check your owners manual for details on the passive locks...

Hope this helps
JET
