Pulsation at 40 mph TSB

I saw on alldata web site that there is a TSB for the 2006 Hihy (2006 Toyota Truck 4wd hybrid) concerning drive pulsation at 40 mph. It is not on the 2007 Hihy list. After checking mine, it does in fact wobble a bit around 40 mph. Anybody else has this?
Anybody knows what has to be changed to circumvent this small problem (ECU reprogram?). Ill sure check this with the garage at the next maintenance inspection.

Thumbs up

The ECU reprogramming did it. Works better now!

Our 2006 HH does the same thing at 40 mph. I'd love to try the ECU reprogramming - what is that? Also, what is a TSB or whatever it was that you referenced in your first post?

Thanks for any help you can give me!

ECU is one of the many car computers dedicated to engine management. Think of ECU reprogramming as a simple software update (like a computer) done by a Toyota Hybrid certified garage with a special analyser. They will do it (I had it done during a regular inspection) if you insist there was a Technical Service Bulletin about it. I do not recall the exact year 2006 TSB number. It is a less than a half hour job. Good Luck. By the way I still think it is a wonderful vehicule and am amazed at how the "car experts" still do not really understand it 4 years after its introduction.

Mine pulses and revs around the same speed. Will the ECU reprogram be covered by the power train warranty? I sure hope it works for me as well.

ECU reset was covered by warranty, however, it did not solve the problem.
