Hi,

I am new in the forum. I plan to buy a new highlander hybrid (2008) and does anyone know how much do they charge in Vancouver , BC, Canada? Is there a big difference in price compare to the US? (for the price of Highlander Hybrid in US is posted in the toyota.com website) Thank you for any additional information.

It is not out yet in canada and might be further delayed. Check Toyota canadian site.

I was told by a salesman today that the pricing will be released on November 20th. He suspects that the Limited will be 53k while the base will be 45k or thereabouts. I guess they don't know that the loonie is worth $1.08 U.S.

There is also a $1500.00 rebate on the gas powered Highlander, but not on the hybrid.

the price they charge in Canada is very HIGH. With CAD =1.08 US, we should see the price same as US or lower.

No idea. The HiHy is already out in the US and we don't even have the pricing, let alone the vehicle itself.
I wouldn't be surprised but "technically" $53k isn't bad considering a HiHy Limited is $50k and $53k with nav. However, that's still $8k more than the US HiHy Limited 4WD-i with navigation ($45k)

Does anyone know how to import a Highlander Hybrid to Canada? Since the CAD $ is equal to 1.09 US$ and the price difference is more than $8000. I just think it is unfair for the Canadian dealer to charge so much.

I'm looking to buy Hightlander Sport but in in Cnada the price is 46,200$ and in US 32,700 the difference more than 30% for the same car. Why ?????

I suggest to everyone DO NOT BUY A CAR UNTIL THE PRICE GOING DOWN AT THE SAME LEVEL AS US.

No idea. They had a chance to lower the price but instead raised it substantially. The Limited model is $5,000 more than last year's (granted there are some extras not found in last year's model but $5,000?!?). Also, the Highlander is getting a bit heavy, no?
